Happy Thanksgiving!

It’s Thanksgiving Day today, time to give thanks and praise the Lord. I am not cooking since we will be at a friend’s house to celebrate it. She told me everything’s ready and waiting for us to start. It’s nice not to have to cook but rather just get ready and go. Kids are excited to go, they missed Lady (the dog) and they want to see and play with her. It’s going to be fun and I can’t wait to tastes everything she made. She is a very good cook, it’s going to be fun, good laugh, good food sharing it with good friends. Gotta go and get ready. Enjoy your “Thanksgiving” everyone!

It’s the weekend!

Finally it’s here and I am loving it. Today is a very relaxing day for me. Kids had a party to attend and after dropping them off, I went to the mall and check on something. There are deals all over and I can’t wait to take advantage to some of it. The kids will only have two days left for school. After that it will be their “Thanksgiving Break”, then their three weeks off and winter break. They will be back to school on January 5, 2010 of next year.  Yeah, it felt so faraway but not really. We are almost at the last week of November then December then goodbye 2009. Hoping to have  a nicer economy comes New Year. God Bless!

It’s Monday

It was pretty cold when I took the kids to school. I hate this kind of morning, it drains my energy plus it’s a Monday. But we got there on time and I am hoping the kids will have a fun day at school. I went straight home since I have a lot of things to do. I can do it faster without any interruptions since kids are in school. I might stop by at the library and see if the book I want is already there. The forecast says it’s going to get warm in the afternoon. Hope so, that way it’s easy to go around.

Another warm day!

We have been blessed with warm weather since last week and this week for the most part. Since I am cleaning my garage it’s a good thing to have this kind of weather. I am throwing all the boxes and unnecessary stuff and donate some to goodwill. I am glad hubby’s oldest daughter is here with us, paying us a visit. She is a great help and I nver would have it done without her. He will be going back to Boston on Friday and maybe next summer we will be able to visit her there. I think the kids will love to. Gotta go and finish up. Still got a lot to do.

Guiding Good Choices!

A friend of mine called me up and asking if I want to enroll for a parenting class. It’s offered by the school and all we need to pay is a one time fee of $10 for the workbook. This class is for parents who have kids ranging from 9 to 14 yrs old.  So I said sure, I will call and register.  So I did and we already had one session. I like it  so far, it teaches why kids do what they do.  And from there you will understand why and maybe work hard to understand them some more. They need it and this is the start of something new
